Paulino Bernabe M5 hand made classical guitar. 2003 with professionally installed Fishman Matrix Natural active pickup and Hiscox Pro II case. Solid Canadian cedar top Solid Indian rosewood Cedar neck with ebony reinforcement Nitrocellulose lacquer Ebony fingerboard 52 with at the nut Nitrocellulose lacquer 650mm scale Hiscox Pro II Hardcase(Hanika) This guitar delivers a robust.
Rich and beautiful tone. It has a very good volume but also clarity and evenness. The Fishman Matrix Natural is an active transducer that has has been professionally installed. It is powerful and very true to the tone of this Bernabe.
The action is perfect and the playability is superb as you can imagine from a Bernabe in excellent condition. The guitar is in excellent condition both structurally and cosmetically. The neck is perfectly straight. The soundboard is. Flat so the bridge, frets and fretboard are excellent. To be mentioned a varnish hairline crack. Exclusively of the varnish and very superficial.
It has been professionally sealed and polished and it is hardly visible. Also there is a slight lacquer clouding in the middle of the back. You are very welcome to collect it from Central London otherwise I will make sure it will be very well packed for courier delivery. This guitar was personally chosen for me by Paulino Bernabe when I visited him in his shop in Madrid. This is an'E-4' model from the 1980's(the same as the later'M10' model- Bernabe apparently changed the model designation in the 1990's) The tuners have been recently upgraded to gold-plated'Lyra-style Gotoh Classical Guitar Tuners. This guitar is immaculate.
It is almost as new except for one very tiny cosmetic flaw-there is a very thin and almost unnoticeable hairline crack in the varnish(no the wood) on the top of the guitar. Consistent with its age(I tried to photograph it, but it is so thin that I could not get it to show up on any of the photographs) Otherwise. This guitar is flawless. 2009 Rafael Roman#1. Lot 15, 28029 Madrid, taller de Paulino Bernabe. Minimum of 25 yrs-aged Madagascar Rosewood back& sides& Spruce Top. Made in Spain upon request.
The guitar has crispy clear trebles, beautiful warm deep bases, with very nice sustain. This guitar Spruce top has a warm sound overall, since the Spruce is'opened up' already. Can't go wrong with a guitar like this. This is definitely a Concert Level Classical Guitar for a moderate price, compared to what it would cost a Paulino Bernabe or other famous luthier. The construction of this guitar was overseen by Paulino Bernabe& was made in his attellier in Spain by Rafael Roman.
Original hard case included with PB(plaque attached to case) Have pictures available, only to serious buyers. Risualtato a livello funzionale perfetta! Quindi suono strepitoso.
Fondo e fasce in palissandtro. Tavola in cedro e tastiera in ebano! Ottima occasione non fatevela sfuggire!
1973 Flamenco guitar. Build by famous builder Paulino Bernabe in Spain.
To the best of my knowledge it appears to be: Back/side: Cypress. Neck: Spanish Cedar/ebony strip. Fingerboard: Ebony. Pegs: Rosewood. Finish: unsure. Possibly shellac, it appears to be pretty soft.
The golpe was removed previously in anticipation of a restoration. The wood was not harmed. I have left it alone and you can choose to continue refinishing it or replace it with a white golpe and enjoy it as is. It plays great and sounds great. It is well used and shows plenty of signs of being used. Some hairline cracks, but nothing structural and nothing out of the ordinary or needing any attention, it is stable as is.
Guitar is from the PNW and is not dried out. The frets are fine now, but a refret with higher modern frets. A refinish would have this guitar looking and playing like new. Plays and sounds great as is. But it has been well used and is not perfect so it is sold as is. I will ship anywhere in North America/Europe, with shipping outside the US at actual cost and insured.
Paulino Bernabe M10 classical guitar in immaculate condition. 2008 Bernabe was one of the world’s most renowned guitar makers. Based in his workshop in Madrid he produced exceptional instruments. His workmanship. Innovation and skill means his instruments are some of the most sought after in the world.
The sound is very strong and bold with evenness and clarity in all registers. A round powerful tone. Loud full bass and strong high that mark out a Bernabe.
The playability and action are absolutely superb. It is a very high-level instrument suitable for concert level performance. Beautifully made in German cedar and Indian rosewood with an ebony fingerboard and Honduran cedar neck with ebony reinforcement. Traditional nitrocellulose finish.
High polished(an almost impossible to photograph because it so beautifully reflective) Quality machine. Heads and exquisite wood inlay work. 52 width at the nut The Paulino Bernabe hard case shown in the pictures comes with it. The guitar is in absolutely superb condition.
